Welcome to my sewing classes in Barcelona!

For whom?

Your level:

Beginner to Intermediate

Using patterns from my catalog (for men and women), I will guide you based on your skill level to create one or two truly wearable garments.

If you’re sewing for the first time, we will make beautiful pieces while selecting technical steps that match your abilities.

If you’ve already sewn a few creations, I’ll help you level up and sew like a pro… without pulling your hair out!

Your expectations:

  • You live in Barcelona or nearby.

  • You’re tired of wearing fast fashion and are looking for a more responsible alternative.

  • Your friends’ handmade creations inspire you, and you’re ready to start sewing seriously.

  • Or maybe you’ve already started sewing but, between work, kids, and social life, you struggle to find time for it!

  • You’re looking for a moment just for yourself, to practice a manual activity that brings you joy and relaxation.

  • You finally want to be sure you’ll wear what you create (and that it won’t end up half-finished in a closet)?

This class is for you.

The concept

« I Sew My Wardrobe » is a two-month program (May/June) specially designed for sewists who want to learn the essential skills to create and proudly wear their handmade garments.

From fabric selection to the final stitches, we will create one or two garments of your choice from my catalog, with all their finishing touches: pockets, buttonholes, linings…

Starting with a simple yet stylish pattern, we will customize each piece together, choosing the color, length, and adding the little details that you love.

I will teach you how to adjust a garment so that it flatters you and feels comfortable to wear.

The Catalog

You will leave this workshop with confidence in yourself and a solid grasp of basic sewing techniques. That is my primary goal, and it’s the most important thing.

And as proof, your first creations will proudly showcase your progress. By the end of the course, you will have all the tools you need to start making your own designs.

Each season, I introduce a new model for us to sew together, adding to my growing catalog of available designs.

The workshop offers both men’s and women’s models! So gentlemen (or ladies who want to sew for their men) are more than welcome…

The Lucrezia Dress

Looking for a light and elegant dress for sunny days? You’re going to love this season’s new pattern! This A-line dress, with its flowing and airy cut, is perfect for summer. With an optional open-back neckline, it adds just the right touch of femininity and freshness. Fully lined, it ensures a beautiful drape and absolute comfort.

It will look stunning in lightweight cotton for sunny days, in viscose or Tencel for a soft, bohemian feel, or even in silk or satin for a more sophisticated look—perfect for a wedding or a summer evening out. Pair it with minimalist sandals during the day or heels for an elegant touch. Easy to sew and effortless to wear, you’ll probably want to make more than one version after this class!

The Cleopatra Top

here comes the second piece added to this season’s sewing catalog: a tie-back top that’s both chic and easy to wear! No closures and fully lined, it fits beautifully thanks to its bust darts. Its standout feature? A stylish back tie that adds a sophisticated touch while allowing for an adjustable fit.

Ultra-comfortable, it’s designed to be worn even without a bra, making it perfect for hot summer days! It looks stunning in lightweight cotton for a casual vibe, in linen or double gauze for a boho feel, or even in silk or satin for a dressier version. Pair it effortlessly with high-waisted jeans, a flowy skirt, or even this season’s pants. Easy to sew and style, it’s sure to become a staple in your wardrobe!

The Classes

Step 1: Choosing Your Fabric

We will visit three of my favorite fabric stores in downtown Barcelona together to select the perfect fabric for your creation. Fabric is not included in the course price, so you’ll need to budget a little extra, but I will guide you in choosing an option that suits your budget. You can also bring fabric you already own, and I’ll help you determine which project it’s best suited for.

During this 2-hour session, I will teach you the secrets to picking the right fabric for our project:

  • The best eco-friendly materials to choose
  • The right texture
  • The correct amount of fabric
  • The appropriate difficulty level

You’ll leave with all the knowledge you need to confidently choose fabrics in the future, along with the supplies for the creations we’ll sew together.

Step 2: Sewing

Through weekly 3-hour sessions (a total of 21 hours of sewing), we will progress at your own pace from October to early December, completing your project while mastering key sewing techniques.

Here are some of the skills you’ll gain during the course:
✔ Adjusting a pattern to fit your size
✔ Constructing a garment from start to finish without feeling overwhelmed
✔ Sewing an invisible zipper
✔ Creating a button placket
✔ Sewing pockets
✔ Finishing by hand
✔ Adjusting a collar
✔ Attaching bias binding to a neckline
✔ Sewing a button securely
✔ Making a beautiful hem
…and much more!

Step 3: The Photoshoot

To top it all off, I’m offering a professional photoshoot featuring you in your handmade outfit! A great way to capture a beautiful moment in your newly sewn creation.

You can do whatever you like with your photo—send it to Grandma, post it on Instagram, or print it for your sweetheart…

To give you an idea, here’s one of the photos taken last season:

Step 4: Recreate the Workshop at Home

I will provide you with all the tools you need to reproduce what we sewed together at home, so you feel comfortable with your future sewing projects:

When you leave the workshop, you’ll have:
« Silhouette » sheets to sketch your dream wardrobe and keep everything organized
Your copied pattern, so you can recreate your designs at home
✔ A step-by-step assembly guide to review the techniques learned during the workshop, or a video tutorial (depending on the model)

Absences

What happens if you miss a session? The workshop is designed with a set number of sewing hours. If a student is absent or late, I cannot guarantee the project will be completed on time.

Because I’m nice, I allow one make-up session per student. The missed class can be rescheduled within the current season only and subject to availability in the other time slots (for example, if you attend on Thursdays, you can make up for it on a Friday). It must be notified as early as possible.

Once the season is over, additional make-up sessions will be scheduled on a case-by-case basis at an extra cost:

That being said, it’s rare that we need to use this system—I do my best to ensure everyone finishes on time and is proud of their work!
